Kitchen & Bathroom Trends 2023

Going to various Trade shows is an excellent opportunity for me as a designer to learn about the current advancements in the design industry. For instance, as an influencer with Design Hounds, I recently had the opportunity to be a part of the Kitchen & Bath industry show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, and I got the front-row seat to the latest and greatest in the Kitchen and Bath industry.

Here are some takeaways. There is a significant focus on environmental sustainability and the personal well-being of the inhabitants. The COVID saga highlighted the importance of mental health and physical well-being. And the recent weather events are highlighting how sustainability is not a trend but a need as we move forwards.

Here are some of the Vendor Highlights from KBIS 2023.

SKS Appliance

Refrigeration has seen significant technological innovation to preserve and increase the life of produce and product stored in the refrigerator, thus reducing wastage. SKS’s 48” Built-in Refrigerator features flexible storage, easily adjustable shelves and bins, and the most expansive shelf space in the industry. Precise temperatures and a 5-mode convertible middle drawer maintain the freshness and integrity of everything stored inside.

It has now become much more accessible to add Steam Showers in bathrooms with Mr. Steams Steam shower systems. Steam use has shown many long-term benefits, including Detoxing, relaxing, and cleansing your body will reinforce the benefits perfect way to complement a wellness lifestyle. Mr. Steam offers steam shower systems with soothing music, chromatherapy, and aromatherapy to bring a wholesome steam shower experience in the privacy and comfort of one’s home.

Compac

Forget the Quartz of the past. Now there is a new kid in town. I was so impressed with Compacs’ design and creative innovation in Terrazzo and Quartz and the use of these materials. In addition, I was incredibly impressed with the new collection designed in collaboration with Arik Levy inspired by the Arctic. Compac Quartz and Terrazzo may be used for countertops, backsplash, bathroom installation, and custom table tops. The list is long and limited only to the imagination. I was especially impressed by their Terrazzo kitchen island, which is perfect for either indoor or outdoor kitchens. Compac is an innovative company with its sights set on high-quality design innovation focusing on sustainability.
