The Wanderer's Hideaway
The owner of Tyvan Hill is a traveler and an explorer. She travels the world for work and pleasure, bringing back inspiration and memories. The "Wanderer's Hideaway" is inspired by her exotic luxury travels.
A glamping trip to Morocco inspires the tent, a luxurious getaway in the middle of the desert. Each piece in this space is custom and has a story to tell. There is deliberation and thought behind every selection.
After a long trip, our wanderer comes home to retire to her hideaway and reflects upon her experiences while planning a new adventure.
The Sitting Room
The sitting room is an eclectic mix of unique handcrafted pieces from a world traveler's collection. The tented ceiling with fabric paneled walls dramatically uses the high ceilings and makes it the room's design focus. Space showcases a Turkish hand-carved fireplace surround and a Canadian marble sofa. You’ll also notice a Chippendale-inspired custom daybed, Indian and Moroccan fabrics, a Roman church-like ceiling mural, and unique lighting from Israel. This space is collected from around the world, creating an experience that celebrates adventure.
The Powder Room
Continuing with our concept of the Wanderer's Hideaway, we used a stunning rattan parasol, which evokes travel memories. The wallpaper is reminiscent of flora and fauna of the Amazonian rain forest.
Our intent with the design for the Wanderer's Hideaway is to create a space that sparks the imagination and makes for a beautiful retreat.
